I live in the Chicago area and have been involved in business intelligence and data warehousing most of my career. While there are numerous sources of great content on the subject, there seems to be a general lack of entries that deal with BI from a purely business perspective (see my initial blog entry at the bottom).
This blog will attempt to focus on the practical application of BI technologies with an emphasis on the business and managerial issues as well as the value propositions behind gaining support for and deploying BI solutions. My purpose is simply to bring a higher level of understanding of the value of BI to business decision makers in hopes that more organizations will adopt and benefit from the business-optimizing value of analytics.
